This section is designed to demonstrate some of my knowledge, skills and how they have been put into action. The projects below are an accumulation of works that span from mid 2005 (Second year of University, this is when I started to experiment at home with what I was learning), to date!
To a large degree these projects will be in chronological order (newest at the top), please do feel free to explore each and every one. If you have any questions about these projects, or anything else please do EMAIL ME FROM HERE.
I am always open to, and on the look out for the next project, be it building a site for a customer, creating an application to do something new and or interesting, or just experimenting with a new technology to understand it in a greater detail. If you would like to contact me in regards to a new project click here.
CS Jawbreaker is a newer version of Java Jawbreaker. This game is designed for the Windows XP platform and is a game to be played on the computer rather on the internet.
Well... The Autons are dummies! They were a monster that the "Doctor" faced in the legendary TV series "Doctor Who", (see picture on the right). Or the Autons could be Automatic Nightly System. The Autons project goal was to replace an existing application used by my place of employment (ACE). The goal was to replace an old REXX program that ran the nightly processes, this program was called "BatchBotlR6". (REXX is an old scripting language that is basically a text file that gets read and executed from top down at run time).... To read about this further please visit The Autons Home Page
This program was one of my first C# programs. I started out doing this project because I wanted to play with C# applications at work, this project had the possibility of saving my self and others time during very manual jobs. The basic outline was to have a program that would search a folder and it's subdirectories for a list of files. It soon expanded to search for references to these files within other files, for example all INI files... To read about this further please visit The File Search Program's Home Page
Drive Shak was my first commercial website. Shak Malik commissioned me to produce a site that would advertise his driving school in the Sussex area. He wanted a fun, informative and welcoming site that would encourage possible students to contact him. The site acts in a number of ways:

This topic is a very personal one to me as it was my dissertation. I very much enjoyed doing this project and feel I learnt a lot from it. The project title was "Evolving AI bots to play Poker". It was always an ambitious project a lot of similar work was done at PHD level. I am happy with the result and final grade but would like to have developed it further, I was graded 74% for this project.
I do intend, (and have acutally started some of the basics), to redo this project in C# and develop it far further than I achieved in Java.

Jawbreaker is a game that I found on my mobile phone (XDA IIi) which I really enjoyed playing. It is far too addictive to be healthy. So in a moment of madness I decided to inflict my addiction on the Net.
This version of Jawbreaker was developed in my second year of University (2005). It was a very enjoyable project and I learnt a lot about Java and how to create an enjoyable online game. There are two versions of the game:

Ponywars.com was the previous URL I used before moving to House of Hawkins. I had this site for a couple of years before deciding it needed to be redesigned. A lot of this site will be redesigned and moved across to House of Hawkins over time but the original will stay here for you to see. There was one incarnation before this but it has been lost in the ether of time. I hope people can see where I have come from and how I have developed over time.
